Senior Graphic Designer

Flexjet and its world of sister brands are looking for a commanding Senior Graphic Designer to join the brand’s multi-award winning in-house creative team that creates for the global Flexjet brand as well as various other private aviation brands under the Directional Aviation portfolio of companies. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a vast range of projects, immerse yourself in aviation, collaborate with other world-renowned luxury brands and explore new technology implementations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential in this position to deliver compelling creative executions that resonate with Flexjet, sister brands, partner brands and the audiences they communicate with. This role will be a part of a highly thematic, speed-to-market driven environment that will allow the Senior Graphic Designer to expand their skillset exponentially and apply multiple styles of design and aesthetic execution for a variety of marketing, brand and advertising channels. The Senior Graphic Designer will assist in the balance of implementing, maintaining and injecting an elegant design aesthetic. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day, the Senior Graphic Designer will work with fellow Designers, Copywriters, Developers, Vendors, Brand Partners, Internal Departments and Marketing Channel Managers to produce beautiful, results-driven creative. This includes but not limited to:
  • Designing original creative, from initial concept to post production file and project management
  • Design highly thematic brand identities for events, promotions, partnerships and more
  • Create conceptual design work on a regular basis; both for furthering the brand(s) identities and obtaining executive buy-in on large initiatives
  • Develop and execute high-quality digital designs for websites, display advertising, email marketing, social media and other digital platforms while maintaining brand consistency
  • Participate in group inspiration trips, sessions and team building activities
  • Assist Creative Leadership and fellow designers with brainstorming and creating pitch concepts and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with evolving the graphic language and design style for Flexjet and sister brands within physical and digital mediums
  • Making edits to templates and previous work
  • Provide creative support for various internal departments
  • Assist with leading internal advocacy for the creative team’s design methodology
  • Stay updated on industry trends, design tools and emerging technologies to continuously improve design quality, ideation and efficiencies
  • Act as a brand identity stylist for various Directional Aviation companies
  • Balance multiple projects and meetings with various deadlines and schedule changes
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with fellow in-house creatives and other team members to ideate, support and promote creative content that best represents the Flexjet brand and sister companies in-market
  • Work on brand collabs to create original, curated experiences and making smart design decisions that enhance both brands within the given project
  • Show adaptability on a daily basis

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLSBA/BFA/BS degree in design or similar field

  • 5+ years professional experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showing range of capabilities
  • Previous in-house team and/or agency experience preferred
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365 and various other prototype and concept development programs
  • Experience building in Figma, XD or a comparable platform
  • Mastery of personal time management to balance project workloads, deadlines and the regular communication of both
  • Display a regular passion for learning
  • Other beneficial areas:
  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing and animation
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web design principles
  • Practiced with UX/UI design principles and practices
  • Previous experience with managing own creative projects from start to in-development; experience with a Project Manager/Traffic Coordinator a plus
  • Asset management system utilization and/or familiarity
  • Strong layout and design theory background
  • Great understanding of responsive mobile design
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a speed-to-market, deadline driven culture
  • Capability to concept and execute unique approaches to projects
  • An eye for detail
  • Typographic maturity
  • Experience working with brand guidelines
  • Must be comfortable prioritizing tasks, demonstrate flexibility, display a strong work ethic, attention to detail and project awareness
  • Innovative and creative thinker; proactively identifies opportunities; motivated by challenge, change and opportunity
  • Able to digest and adapt to constructive criticism and direction
  • Must have advanced skills and experience in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • **Travel at times**
  • Position will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Cleveland, OH, incorporating a hybrid model
