Project Manager

Location: Sanford, FL

Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced, Project Manager to join our team!

This position is located in Sanford, Florida.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively communicate with Embraer Customer Maintenance Service Representative (CMSR) providing accurate project updates to include cost approvals, project status and risk assessment to meet project delivery expectations

• Work closely with the Embraer Purchasing/Parts Teams to ensure sufficient parts, equipment and tooling resources are available at all times, paying close attention to requirements for non-planned events, drop in maintenance and Embraer requests, ensuring an efficient project Return To Service is met.

• Responsible for assigning tasks to technicians to efficiently manage project.

• Identify critical path tasks within assigned project, prioritize critical items and sequence tasks to achieve optimum efficiencies and deliver objectives including effective labor hour management.

• Monitor day-to-day activities for assigned area and report status, issues and risks to Maintenance manager

• Ensure that work completed complies with Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, FAA regulations and Embraer expectations.

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude.

• Ensure time/labor recording is accurate in all related labor management systems.

• Complete verbal, written and/or electronic turnover indicating status of work progress

• Responsible for coordinating maintenance priorities with the Embraer CMSR and the General Manager, perform maintenance, service aircraft and components, providing assistance to maintenance technicians to help maintain RTS fidelity.

• Daily work order reviews of current projects to ensure timely and accurate is provide to Embraer for accurate invoicing

• Effectively exercise control and responsibility for all maintenance resources to ensure project priorities are on schedule to meet customer commitments

• Effectively coordinate with all intercompany divisions to ensure committed delivery schedules are met

• As required, effectively coordinate with third party vendors to ensure agreed upon service completion date is met

• Manage project flat rates, and over-and-above rates to ensure efficiencies are met

• Coordinate aircraft delivery process execution

• Review of project invoices to ensure accurate customer billing

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate

• Minimum of eight (8) years experience with previous aviation maintenance experience and prior supervisory experience

• High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred

• Ability to understand various types of aircraft and inspection programs

• Requires excellent communication skills, oral and written

• Ability to work in a team environment & effectively coordinate with multiple departments

• Planning and organizational skills necessary

• Computer experience in Microsoft Office software products

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
