Lead a team of Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT), assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of work during the shift
Provide technical guidance and assistance to AMTs in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of aircraft systems and components
Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft and aircraft components
Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and effectively, in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and FAA regulations
Ensure all records of work performed are accurate and complete
Communicate effectively within their team and with other departments to ensure smooth maintenance operations
Train and mentor junior technicians to improve their skills and knowledge of aircraft maintenance
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Aviation Maintenance Technician
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
Will be frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Will be occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
