Safety Compliance Specialist/ Designated Employee Representative

Department: 257 Safety
Location: Cleveland, OH

POSITION SUMMARY

Acts as the FAA Designated Employee Representative (DER) for the Flight Options Drug and Alcohol Program, responsible for all compliance to the program. Act as an assistant to the Manager of Drug and Alcohol Programs and VP of Safety.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Function as the FAA Designated Employee Representative (DER) for the Flight Options drug and alcohol program
  • Oversee regulatory compliance aspects of the Flight Options drug and alcohol program
  • Assist the Manager of drug and alcohol programs with the Flexjet drug and alcohol program
  • Assist with the daily function of all Safety and Security regulatory Programs
  • Assist with the monitoring of company operations for safe practices
  • Assist with data analysis of all related safety programs
  • Assist with regulatory compliance of all Safety and Security Programs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with FAA/DOT drug and alcohol or other FAA regulatory programs (preferred)
  • Associate degree in an Aviation, Safety, or Security field (preferred)
  • Aviation Safety, or Security, experience (preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to effectively manage and organize various program activities
  • Familiarity with aviation safety principles, quality management fundamentals, and regulatory agencies and their function as related to air carrier operations (FAA, DOT, OSHA, etc)
  • Ability to act as a Safety Ambassador for the organization, both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of 91, 91k, and 135 regulations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Aviation Safety Management Systems (preferred)
  • Must be able to speak publicly and present on the individual level, senior management level, and to large audiences, including all employees within the OneSky network, industry professionals and federal agencies
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills are necessary to perform the job at the expected level with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to write effective reports, and business correspondences
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast paced environment with constantly shifting priorities Must possess passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmosphere

SCHEDULE
