Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team!

This position is located in Sanford, Florida.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist department by performing daily facility and vehicle repairs, regular upkeep of aviation hangars and office facilities
• Perform special projects & building repairs that include framing walls, drywall, paint, carpet, ceiling tile, door hardware, minor electrical, minor plumbing and minor HVAC repairs.
• Perform painting, light bulb changes, ceiling tile replacement, and assist with roof leaks
• Work closely with aircraft mechanics in the maintenance of ground support equipment
• Performs pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and general maintenance repair and/or service on ground support equipment and tools
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently with little supervision
• Assist the management team by communicating the need for extensive repairs
• Coordinate and communicate among service level vendors and staff, customer service
• Maintain knowledge of maintenance supply inventory
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using machinery
• Ability to operate scissors, articulating boom lift, and forklifts in a safe manner.
• Work with local leaders to ensure facility needs are met
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous relevant experience in building maintenance, construction or automotive is desired
• Certificate(s) for operating fork, scissor, or articulating lifts a plus
• Provide hand and miscellaneous power tools to fulfill maintenance assignments
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
• OSHA training certificate a plus
• Strong attention to detail and professional appearance
• Must be able to work in all climates
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to drive large vehicles such as cargo vans and box trucks
• Ability to pass background check for airport security badge
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, sometimes over shoulder

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
