Dedicated Inspector

Department: 325 Maintenance
Location: Cleveland, OH

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Repair Station personnel comply with current Federal Aviation Regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, and Policies and Procedures
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and positive customer service attitude without compromising quality
  • Ensure maintenance and inspection personnel use approved or accepted data issued by the manufacturer or FAA
  • Ensure adequate inspection aids, special tools and equipment are available, and maintained in a serviceable condition
  • Assist the Chief Inspector with oversight of facility technician training requirements
  • Assist the Chief Inspector with maintaining facility personnel roster and authorizations
  • Assist the Chief Inspector with oversight of the facility tool control and tool calibration program
  • Ensure final inspections are properly performed on all work completed before it is released for Return to Service
  • Conduct internal and external facility audits as required
  • Oversee and maintain procedures to ensure completion of required inspections when tasks are worked over multiple shifts and personnel
  • Ensure incoming parts, supplies, and articles receive an incoming inspection (Receiving Inspection) to determine airworthiness prior to being approved for installation as prescribed in the Quality Control Manual
  • Ensure no defective, non-conformed or un-airworthy parts are installed in any component or assembly released to service
  • Ensure compliance with procedures for preliminary inspections, hidden damage inspections, inspection continuity and final inspection for items processed by the facility

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant, IA certificate preferred
  • ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified preferred
  • Familiar with FAA CFR Part 21 Certification Procedures for Products preferred
  • Experience Maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and record keeping a plus
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections
